be successful - set realistic, reachable training goals
Every day is a new day to make a difference. Set a goal to succeed. If you don't know where you are going - how are you going to get there?
In goal setting, it is successful to work with goals that you are attracted to. Realistic goals in combination with fun workout routines makes you long until your next workout.

Stay positive and look forward. Mark up the trail by setting goals, create your path from start to the finish line. It may not always go as planned, you can not change what has been, but you can influence the future.

Do your best to stay on the trail. When things go your way. Give yourself some attention. Reward yourself for every step towards your goals. Why not buy yourself some flowers?

Rather go for too easy goals, than the ones that exist only in a dream world. Set smart and realistic goals.

SMART goal setting method
One famous goal setting method is SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time bound).

Being specific
Specify your goals. Set term goals. Then break them down to many short term goals. Break them down to super small goals, goals that are attainable and desirable. Set goals that make you feel “I wanna do this”. Goals that feels fun and manageable.

Measurable goals
Set a “small goal” every week, like “Im gonna do 5 push-ups every day this week and on sunday Im gonna go for 7 or more.”

By doing 5 every day this week, it is very likely that you will reach your “small goal” = you will be stronger before next week already = this is motivation.

Work with both short term and long term goals, and you will reach goals often - and feel successful.

Attainable
Don't set goals that makes you feel awkward. Make you goals desirable. Set small goals that make you feel great and fabulous.

Break down your long term goal into easy peasy goals. Start reaching them one by one and you will soon reach your long term goal. You can!

Relevant
Do you really want it? The goal. Is it something YOU want? Yes? Super! Goals set to please someone else are made to flop. Be selfish when it comes to goal setting, then you will set goals for success! Go for it!

Time bound
Check your short term goals weekly and long term goals monthly. Use reminders in your calendar to check in with your goals regularly. Stay ahead.

Work with dynamic goals. Be nice to yourself and update your goals as you go. If you don't reach your goal on schedule, modify it. Update your goals regularly to make them fit in with all the other things in your life, family, friends, school, jobs...

When things come up, you can probably choose to look at it two ways. Your scheduled workout for example.
1. Ou no, and I had a workout planed. Well, well...
2. Lets see here (in your calendar), until when can I move my workout? If I do this and that... Yes. Perfect. Im awesome. I will get so fit and so strong.

Reschedule rather than cancel and you will reach your goals.

Visualizing is successful in goal setting
Work with visualizing, it is proven to be successful. Picture yourself reach your goal. Picture yourself passing that finish line. Write your own success story.  Work with your mind to get where you want. This will make your goal more concrete. Start out by actually believing you can do it. Visualize you having reached the goal.
Focus. You can do it.

Do you have a weight loss goal? Forecast!
The weight you are about to get rid off did not get there over a night or in a couple of weeks. Loosing weight does not happen over a night. Nor in a couple of weeks. Stay focused! (For at least 10 weeks.)

Example situation: You are at a conference. Its break time and you are hungry. When you are hungry it is common to not think before opening the mouth. Maybe you see that huge plate of chocolate chips cookies.
Look further, hopefully there are better options somewhere. Or stay ahead and bring your own snack or meal.

Work with your mind and forecast this type of situations. By staying ahead you can be prepared for a situation like this.

Your success question
You have several chances to make a difference every day. Train yourself to consider at least 2 options in every situation. You will get better and better at making the choice that will take you closer to your goal.

Ask yourself:
Is this one step forward or going back?

By start doing this, you will get more aware of the challenges and get better preventing or avoiding them.
When you get to the point where there are more steps forward per day - you are getting closer to your goal every day.

And one day you will reach your goals.
